Group E Preview This time Sean Gibson is the author of the preview originally writen for Deutschland Adles sites. The Group consists of Ladner Pioneers, BATS Bratislava, and Glasgow Clydesiders. Check what Sean thinks about team chances.

Pioneers have become one of the tournament regulars and have for the last two years been knocking on the door of the top four unable to progress past the quarter finals. This year might be their year to find themselves in the semi finals. Keith Ryan has been the top gun for the last two years averaging more than two goals per game in the Memorials abbreviated format. Nathan Wilson will be counted on to stand tall in the Pioneer goal for Chris Fox’s men. 2014 Results: 5th.

Standing in the Pioneers way will be the Bats from Bratislava. They were upstarts in the 2012 instalment, how ever since then have struggled with tough draws. You can expect the Bats to be organized and will cause troubles as they play a more physical brand of European box lacrosse. Czech Theodor Šamalík will step into the goals this year and will bring consistency to the back end for the Bats. You can bet Tomáš Jeck will be a big part of the offensive plans for the Bats along with Simon Thomay and Denis Engliš will balance out the attack. Bats won‘t score a ton of goals though they will be a tough nut to crack and we expect that they will be in a lot of tight games. 2014 Results: 13th.

That leaves us to introduce the groups third seed, the Glasgow Clydesiders. The Clydesiders have all the potential to be upstarts and cause opposition problems. This years team is made up of players from five different nationalities and the bulk of that is Canadian. Dylan Cowman will again be called upon to stand tall in the Clydesiders goal. Offensive threat Jeremy Hill steps into his first foray into European lacrosse after several years with the Mimico Mountaineers & Toronto Beaches (JR)/ Detroit Coney Dogs (CI2L). 2014 Results: 17th.
