Shakerz se dali dohromady na podzim 2008 jako skupinka kamarádů z obrasti New Yorku, kteří se rozhodli založit solidní tým jak na hřišti, tak mimo hřiště. Není třeba zdůrazňovat, že lidé rádi hrají s těmi, s nimiž dobře vycházejí i momo hřiště, a na tom byl od začátku tým založen. Každý chce samozřejmě vyhrávat, ale u Shakerz je tým vždycky důležitější než jednotlivci. Jméno "Salt Shakerz" vzniklo z výrazu "Pass the Salt" – "Vosol ho", tedy "hraj důrazně", "jdi do toho". Jméno vystihuje to, co klub považuje za hlavní: hrát spolu, nesobecky a s chutí. A často. A přesně to děláme. The Shakerz came together in the fall in 2008 when a small group began talking about putting a competitive team together of "good guys" both on and off the field in the New York area. It goes without saying that people like to "lax" with guys they get along with, and that has been the goal of the team since day one. Obviously everyone wants to win, but for this group, no one player has been bigger than the team. The name "Salt Shakerz" is derived from the expression; "Pass the Salt" — or in Lax vernacular, ‘keep it hot,’ ‘Spin it,’ or ‘one more’. The Moniker pays homage to what the club likes to embody: unselfish and tasty play. “LAX OFTEN...” It’s quite simple... “LAX OFTEN...” It’s what we do.
